How to Drop 100 pounds in 6 Months- Success Story

A morbidly obese man lost  a whopping 400 pounds after doctors warned him he wouldn't make it to his 40s. Carlos Orosco, 42, said he feels like he has been given a "second chance" at life after tipping the scales at 650 POUNDS !. Carlos, from Saginaw, Michigan, told how he drastically overhauled his lifestyle after being scared that he wouldn't live to see his niece be born. At 6ft 1in, Carlos admitted he has "always been a bigger person." But after moving out of his parents house in his late twenties, his weight ballooned.

With no one to hold him accountable, Carlos said he turned to food and alcohol for comfort, no matter what mood he was in. Since Carlos could still function well in every day life, and was able to play sports, he never thought his weight was a problem. His diet would consist of fried food, fast food, bread, fizzy pop and beer. By the time he turned 38, Carlos tipped the scales at a massive 650 pounds, and was wearing size 78-waist jeans.

His weight caused him to develop a blood infection that caused severe swelling and ulcers in his legs. Plagued with health issues, Carlos eventually booked an appointment with the GP to discuss weight-loss surgery options, where he was told by the doctor that if he didn't make a change soon, he wouldn't make it to his 40s.

It was the wake-up call Carlos needed. Carlos was told that if he didn't lose the required pre-surgery weight - 100 pounds in 6 months - the op would be cancelled and his lifeline would be gone.

After meeting with a dietician, Carlos was put on a weight loss plan which involved completely overhauling his diet. He signed up Custom Keto Diet plan ( Read more : Custom Keto Explained on Fox News ) ,  cut out fried food and alcohol and replaced that with lean protein, fruit and vegetables, as well as going for three mile walks every day. Carlos said: "The first three months were really tough. I was constantly fighting urges and cried myself to sleep many nights."

6 months later, on the day of his weight-loss surgery in December 2016, Carlos was 100 pounds off his goal weight and cleared for the operation. After his laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy, a procedure where 75 per cent of the stomach is removed, Carlos dropped another 300 pounds  in just a few months.

'I feel like a new person, really. I have been blessed with a second chance, another opportunity." I realise that not everybody has the chance, has that second opportunity to do it, and that's really what it feels like to me, a chance to do things the right way this time." Carlos said.
